Andrew Heath, Candidate for North Carolina Court of Appeals
Andrew Heath has had a rich career serving North Carolina. In brief, some of Andrew’s career highlights:

In his role as a Superior Court Judge, Andrew is tasked with making complex decisions in felony criminal cases and high-dollar civil matters. Andrew believes in American rule of law and strongly respects and believes in following the United States Constitution.
While serving as Chairman of the North Carolina Industrial Commission, Andrew presided over appeals of workers’ compensation cases. In his three years as Chairman, he authored numerous legal opinions and managed all aspects of the Industrial Commission’s operations and all 160 employees. As the Director of the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM), he was responsible for advising the Governor on North Carolina’s $510 billion GDP economy and $22.3 billion state budget. Andrew also served as secretary to the NC Council of State and served on the State Health Plan Board. He has counseled a spectrum of clients ranging from indigent criminal defendants to large corporations as an attorney in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Andrew Heath attended UNC Asheville on an athletic scholarship where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management. Heath earned his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
He married his college sweetheart, Kristen, and the two graduated from law school together before moving back to Kristen’s hometown of Wilmington. After several years in Wilmington, the Heaths moved to Raleigh to enter public service. Kristen and Andrew have two children, a girl and a boy, and are members of Christ Baptist Church.
Andrew is a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine award and is a North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Emerging Legal Leader.
