Board of Elections Liaison
Robin Smith has made Charlotte her home since 1963. She is married to her sweetheart of 43 years, mother to 4 grown children and proud grandmother to 5 grandchildren.
Robin taught first grade for 15 years while raising her children, then retired to be a stay at home mother and be supportive of their extracurricular activities. After her last child left for college, she worked at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for 5 years and now homeschools her daughters’ children.
A lifelong Republican, Robin has been active at the Board of Elections since 1994 when she served as a Chief Judge at her precinct. She later became a Regional Precinct Coordinator (RPC), where she serves as a liaison between the elections team and its precincts. She has also worked in leadership roles since the inception of early voting. She has worked in the office in many different supportive roles as needed before and after the elections. She most recently served as one of the Republicans tasked with leading the hand-eye recount for Chief Justice Paul Newby.
In Robin’s spare time she enjoys camping, sewing and gardening. She is a staunch believer in the GOP and its principles.
