Lee Ann Patton has served in various roles with the NCGOP since 2010, in the 9th, 12th, and 14 Districts. She is currently the Chairman of the 14th District, having served in that role the previous three years in the 12th. In the 12th she created and chaired, Making Waves in District 12, a fundraiser that raised thousands of dollars for statewide and local candidates.  In September of 2022, District 14 will hold its first annual fundraiser, Seeing Red in District 14. She has also served in various roles with the MeckGOP Board since 2010 and been active in the party for the past 35 years.

Lee Ann led the Mecklenburg Evening Republican Women’s Club as its President in a critical transition from almost losing its charter in 2012 to 200 members and associates in 2020. In this role, she created and Chaired Celebrate the Vote, MERWC’s successful fundraising event, in addition to several other charitable giving activities for Republican causes.

Lee Ann was the Assistant Secretary of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women from 2018 to 2020. In 2017 she was nominated for the NCGOP Hall of Fame Award for her service and leadership in District 12. In 2016 she won the NCFRW Tribute to Women Award for her leadership.

Lee Ann leads by example of doing whatever is needed to achieve the desired results. Because of this, she has consistently held leadership positions of increasing authority and responsibility which have allowed her to create and implement strategies for success.

Lee Ann has over 30 years of experience in working with volunteers in a way that gets them excited and motivated about doing what needs to be done to achieve the desired results. She is a grassroots type of organizer who appreciates the value of “boots on the ground” person-to-person contact with volunteers and those we are reaching out to.

Lee Ann believes in good and consistent communication as a key to success. She assembles and disseminates necessary information to keep everyone on the same page about what is happening and what needs to be done.

As Chairman of the 12th and 14th District, Lee Ann has created and authored a weekly newsletter sent to Republicans in the district, telling of what is happening in the area, ways to get involved and candidate information. During her over 3 years as Chairman, Lee Ann has helped to implement the creation of three Republican clubs in Mecklenburg County. She is currently the Membership Chair of the Uptown Charlotte Republican Club.

Lee Ann has a degree in Social Work and Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and has owned a small business for over 30 years. She lives in Charlotte with her dog Belle and cat Dorothy.
