Tyler Norris, Candidate for State House of Representatives (District 102)
Born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC, Tyler moved to Charlotte in 2000 with his family. After graduating from Charlotte Catholic he attended both Belmont Abbey College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Tyler played lacrosse in college while studying Political Science, Theology, and Criminal Justice. He also was an active member of the North Carolina Student Legislature, holding several positions in the organization, including being elected State Attorney General twice. After college, Tyler was a youth leader with St. Matthew Catholic Church Life Teen and a local musician.
Tyler lives in Plaza Midwood with his wife Kristie and adopted dog Beauregard. He has worked for NoDa Brewing Company for over 4 years mostly in the Sales & Delivery department. Tyler and Kristie attend St. Peter's Catholic Church in Uptown Charlotte.
Tyler spends most of his spare time with his wife and dog in Charlotte's wonderful parks or running the local trivia night at NoDa Brewing. His favorite local organizations to work with are the North Mecklenburg Animal Shelter and Loaves and Fishes. Tyler and Kristie are currently working on opening up their own small business while trying to keep up with their hound dog.
