Biden's Unconstitutional Vaccine Mandate Costs Jobs, Disrupts Economy

• Amid an onslaught of legal challenges, including from the RNC, a federal court ordered the Biden administration to suspend implementation of its mandate on businesses.

• We have already started to see how mandates like this will cost many workers their jobs:
• Democrat mandates on first responders and frontline workers are leading to longer wait times, closed firehouses, and potential mass firings.
  • Democrat New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio furloughed 9,000 city employees under his vaccine mandate.
    • More than 2,300 firefighters were furloughed, forcing 18 firehouses out of service and leading to longer emergency response times.
    • 20 percent of sanitation workers were furloughed due to the mandate leading to heaps of trash around the city.
  • In New York State, 34,000 healthcare workers have either lost their jobs or have been put on leave because of the state's vaccine mandate.
  • In Los Angeles County, Sheriff Alex Villanueva warned his 18,000 employee department could lose "5, 10% of my workforce overnight" because of the city's Democrat-passed vaccine mandate.
  • In Chicago, 4,500 officers, 35 percent of the Chicago police force, were placed on no pay status because of Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot's mandate.
  • Government documents show that more than half of current Border Patrol agents "could be fired" under Biden's vaccine mandate.
• Mandates would cause major disruptions in the U.S. transportation system.
  • 130 workers at Washington State Ferries are being forced out due to the mandate, causing a reduction in ferry sailings for commuters.
  • The American Trucking Association said a nationwide mandate could lead to up to 13 percent of truck drivers leaving their jobs and "cripple the supply chain throughout the country."
    • Some truckers are warning that this mandate would cause many drivers to quit, compounding the worst driver shortage the industry has seen in almost 40 years.
  • With 40 percent of the TSA unvaccinated, as many as 20,000 TSA employees could be fired.
• The mandate on government workers and contractors is destructive to the federal workforce.
  • The Federal Bureau of Prisons may lose "10-20%" of their staff under a vaccine mandate.
  • In Washington state, the Department of Corrections lost 350 workers because of their vaccine mandate.
  • "Thousands of intelligence officers could soon face dismissal for failing to comply" with Biden's vaccine mandate.
    • Intelligence agencies still have anywhere from 20 to 40 percent of their workers unvaccinated.
  • The CEOs of Raytheon Technologies and Northrop Grumman as well as the National Defense Industrial Association are warning that contractors could lose thousands of employees.
• Unfortunately, these job losses are only the beginning. The Kaiser Family Foundation reports 5% of unvaccinated adults have already left their jobs. That number could reach 72% of unvaccinated workers.
• Do the American people feel safer in their community with fewer police officers on the street and fewer nurses in hospitals? Do they feel better off with a worsening supply chain crisis, 30-year high inflation, and declining real wages?
• Biden seems more interested in handing out pink slips than in getting people vaccinated.
