District 12 News - Week of July 12, 2021

Dear Friends,
 
Many years ago, I was hanging out with my four-year-old niece.  I had a small flower in my hand, and she asked me, “Where’d you get that fler?”  I told her, that it was a flower, not a fler and she told me that she could not pronounce that word.  So, I went through a series of sounding out words to her so that she could properly say the word flower.  Words like wow, cow, now, followed by er.  When I finally got to flow and er, she said it perfectly.  After I praised her superb diction, she then looked at me very straight faced and said, “but you still didn’t tell me where you got that fler.”

There is not a week that goes by that someone receiving this newsletter does not email or call me and ask how to get involved.  After asking them if they tried any of the events and activities listed in the newsletter, most have not.  However, they continue in fear and anger to tell me that our country and community are doomed because the “party” is not doing enough. 

I have said it before, and I will say it again.  YOU are the “party.”  If you continue to drag your feet thinking that someone else needs to guide you, we will surely lose.  This newsletter gives you the opportunity to participate in fun ways to raise money, educational and social ways to meet like-minded conservatives, candidate announcements, committee involvement, and a community cleanup project.  And those are just some of the ways to make a difference in YOUR party.

No more excuses!  Let’s gidderdone!
