Mecklenburg County Municipal Races

Candidate filing opens at noon on Friday, July 2, 2021 and closes at noon on Friday, July 16, 2021 for the Towns of Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville,  Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville, and Stallings.

The City of Charlotte and School Board filing opens December 6, 2021 at noon. The Census and law changes delayed the filings of the City of Charlotte and School Board to allow for redistricting based on the 2020 census data.
