Rising Crime In Democrat-Run Cities

  • On the campaign trail, Joe Biden pledged a "safe America...safe from crime and looting." He has failed, and Democrats across the country are pushing policies that would make our communities less safe:
  • Brazen robberies have shocked residents of Democrat-run jurisdictions in Los Angeles, Chicago, and the Bay Area, including on Black Friday.
    • A woman in Los Angeles: "I haven't been coming out as often to this area just because I know stores have been getting hit."
    • Carla, who lives in Roseville, California, "I used to go to San Francisco every Christmas...I don't want to go now, it frightened me seeing the news."
    • San Francisco area resident: "I probably saw 50 to 80 people, in like ski masks, crowbars, like bunch a weapons. They were looting the Nordstrom right here."
    • A woman living in the Los Angeles area: "Very disturbing because now I'm reluctant to come to Nordstrom, or even the mall for that matter, to come in and make my purchases."
    • California woman: "So it is kind of scary. The fact that this had happened now, makes me wonder if I should even walk in there."
  • Even MSNBC commentators admitted Democrat-run San Francisco is "out of control."
    • Former San Francisco Police Department Deputy Chief James Dudley laid the blame squarely at the feet of Democrat politicians: "Until there's a response, until there's a political will and legislative efforts to support police efforts to stop this sort of activity, we're going to see it proliferate and continue."
  • Far-left activists have pushed to end cash bail and release criminals back onto the streets, many of which commit more crimes.
    • Darrell Brooks allegedly murdered 6 innocent civilians and injured dozens more in an attack on a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was released on just $1,000 bail days earlier, after being charged with reckless endangerment, bail jumping, battery, and disorderly conduct.
      • Biden's White House still stands by their push to end cash bail.
    • A man in Democrat-run New York City dodged bail three times in just three days after being arrested for felony robbery, grand larceny, criminal trespassing, and petty larceny.
  • Sadly, this Democrat crime wave is nothing new. Democrat-run cities suffered from disturbing spikes in homicide from 2019 to 2020:
    • New York: ⇧ 47%
    • Washington, D.C.: ⇧ 19%
    • Los Angeles: ⇧ 36%
    • San Francisco: ⇧ 20%
    • Chicago: ⇧ 56%
    • Minneapolis: ⇧ 72%
    • Seattle: ⇧ 73%
    • Portland: ⇧ 83%
    • Detroit: ⇧ 17%
  • Democrat-run cities right here in North Carolina are no exception.
  • To make matters even worse, Democrats are pushing authoritarian and unconstitutional vaccine mandates which will result in thousands of law enforcement officers and first responders losing their jobs – leaving our communities less safe.
    • In states like Massachusetts, Washington,  California, and Illinois, first responders are being fired, resigning, and walking off the job in droves.
    • There are "fears of a first responder staffing shortage" in New York City as a result of vaccine mandates. Up to 20% of the city's fire companies could be forced to close, and 20% fewer ambulances could be available for lifesaving care. 
  • Law enforcement officers risk their lives every day safeguard the American people – they deserve our full support.
  • Sadly, many in the Democrat Party are championing the defund the police movement.
    • Many Democrats deny their support of this destructive movement, but the evidence doesn't lie: here's 7 minutes of Democrats saying, in no uncertain terms, that they want to defund the police.
      • On Election Day 2021, voters overwhelmingly rejected the movement to "reimagine" the police department in Minneapolis.
  • The American people must reject Biden and Democrats' radical, far-left crime policies – the safety and wellbeing of the nation are at stake.
